These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the shiftglobal.ai website, the SHIFT application at app.shiftglobal.ai, and related demonstration materials (together, the “Services”), operated by SHIFT Global (“SHIFT,” “we,” “us”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
SHIFT is an educational simulation and workforce-training platform. It does not provide therapy, diagnosis, medical advice, crisis services, or clinical decision-making.
Public materials and demo results must not be relied upon for employment, certification, treatment, or other consequential decisions. If you or someone you know is in crisis, contact local emergency services or a local crisis line.
The Services and all of their content — including the SHIFT and SHIFT Global names and branding, simulation scenarios and personas, training modules and lessons, competency rubrics and scoring methods, feedback systems, software, text, and design — are owned by SHIFT Global or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. No rights are granted to you except the limited right to use the Services as intended.
You agree to use the Services only for lawful training, evaluation, and demonstration purposes. You must not:
Access to the application is currently provided as a limited pilot, at our discretion. We may modify, suspend, or withdraw access, features, or content at any time. Feedback you volunteer about the Services may be used to improve them without obligation to you.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of inaccuracies. AI-generated content — including simulated client responses and competency feedback — may be incomplete or incorrect and is provided for practice and learning purposes only. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SHIFT Global and its founders, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed one hundred US dollars (US$100) or the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.
The Services rely on third-party providers — including Cloudflare (hosting, access management, security) and Anthropic (AI processing) — whose services are subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services. See our Privacy Policy for how information is handled.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version and effective date above will change when we do, and material changes will be flagged on this page or in the application, which asks returning users to re-acknowledge updated terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
